Lexi’s Cross with Rosethorns

  • Cast Bronze

  • 6 inches x 4 inches x 0.5 inches

  • Originally sculpted in wax, and then cast into bronze using the lost wax casting method

My friend approached me with this commission in 2018. She wanted to hang it above her bed as a sacred protection charm, and I was deeply honored to make something so personal come to life for her.

We started as I do all my commissions: a sketched design for my client to approve, and a quote based on projected number of work hours and cost of materials. In the case of cast bronze works, the fees of the production foundry are also part of the quote. Based on the specifications of the project, and any deadlines the client requires if applicable, I draft a contract specifically for your project to protect your investment and expectations and my needs. Each contract I draft is open to editing by the client; I never want either party to sign until we are both totally satisfied with the terms.

Depending on the complexity, a commission for a bronze sculpture this size would be somewhere between $1,000 and $2,000, before materials and foundry fees. If you are interested in a cast bronze commission, please feel free to reach out on my contact page.
